If you are a gemstone collector or seller, you will know the importance of being able to comprehensive assess the differences in colour between 2 gemstones. A slight difference in colour can change the rarity and value of your gemstone exponentially.
This practical gemology workshop will unpack the framework for colour evaluation and provide opportunity to practice evaluation on pictorial and physical gemstones from the GemRight library of samples. On this basis, if time allows, we may also discuss pricing in relation to colour groups.
There will be a short quiz during the second session to consolidate learnings.
There will be extensive use of gemstone tweezers during this workshop. Please reach out if you wish to register for this workshop but does not have any experience using tweezers.
In the spirit of knowledge sharing in a relaxed environment, buying and selling of gemstones and jewellery is strictly not permitted.
