This practical gemology workshop will unpack the framework behind how gemological laboratories determine the assignment of colour distinctions for corundums, such as Royal Blue and Pigeon’s Blood, into replicable and practical quantifiers. This is expecially important given how gaining these colour distinctions will elevate the market value of these gemstones. We will practise with both pictorial and physical samples to ensure confidence in evaluating corundums in the markets.
There will be a short quiz during the second session to consolidate learnings.
