This 2-session course of this mesmerising gem aims to go in-depth with their historical significance, formation, colour types, transparency types, treatment information, how to care for them and hands-on opportunities to view and touch our sample from our extensive library of jadeites collected all over the world. With our signature small-class format, participants will also have ample opportunities to clarify doubts you have heard at each section, and will have a physical copy of the jadeite section of GemRight’s gemstone encyclopaedia for note-taking and future reference.
Topics include: What is the difference between jade and jadeite? And nephrite? What is malay jade? What is maw-sit-sit? What is 8-3 jade? What is fei cui? What are the value factors to selecting jadeite? What are the types of treatments now? etc…
With 100% attendance and passing the test at the end of the course, participants will receive a certificate for display.
